Members of SCCAERAB shared research at two conferences during the Spring of 2022: The Collaborative Perspectives on Addiction (CPA) conference (in Portland, Oregon), and the Southwestern Psychological Association (SWPA) conference (in Baton Rouge, Louisiana). Dr. Perrotte also shared research at the annual meeting for the Research Society on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (RSA), which occurred in Orlando, Florida.
Neha Shrestha presented a poster at SWPA titled Social support reduces alcohol use among non-remote employed women during COVID-19.. Alyssa Garcia, with co-author Rheanna Vela (both pictured), also presented a poster at SWPA titled Co-occurring cannabis and alcohol abuse: Personality predictors among students during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Perrotte participated in a symposium presentation at CPA, sharing her project titled An exploration of typologies of drinking motives within Latina, Black, and White college women (corresponding manuscript in progress). She also presented a poster at RSA (pictured) titled Examining the connection between feminine gender roles and alcohol outcomes among Latina young adults: Indirect pathways through drinking motives.
